Why Client Feedback Is Crucial to Shaping Raw Stadia
At Raw Stadia, we believe the best ideas come directly from those who know pitch management best—clubs and grounds teams themselves. That’s why we created Raw Connect, our collaborative feedback platform that enables our community to directly shape the tools they rely on every day.
Today, we’re sharing a behind-the-scenes look at how dedicated users like Declan have contributed significantly to Raw Stadia’s platform evolution, highlighting the real impact that collaborative innovation can have.

The Idea: Optimising Maintenance Logging
Managing a world-class pitch demands precision, efficiency, and excellent communication. However, AS Monaco's high-end operations faced challenges with Raw Stadia’s original maintenance logging tool. Common maintenance activities such as topdressing and line marking weren’t explicitly supported as dedicated events, and fertiliser applications had to be added manually. This resulted in repetitive entries, increased risk of errors, and hindered clear team communication—ultimately affecting workflow efficiency.
Their Raw Connect Suggestion: From Idea to Collaboration
Recognising an opportunity to enhance the workflow, Declan Robinson, Head Grounds Manager at AS Monaco, shared his feedback directly on Raw Connect. Clearly articulating his team’s challenges, Declan suggested adding specific calendar entries for topdressing and line marking. He also emphasised the need for reusable templates and simple note-taking capabilities directly within the maintenance calendar.
The suggestion immediately resonated with other teams in the Raw Connect community. Grounds managers related to these common challenges, contributing supportive comments, additional insights, and, crucially, votes.
Our product team took notice and opened a direct dialogue to explore Declan’s ideas further. Together, through in-depth conversations, they explored practical questions like: “What repetitive tasks slow down your daily work?”, “Where could reusable templates enhance your efficiency?” or “How could the platform support your internal communication better?”
These focused discussions provided invaluable insights into real-world workflows—helping us tailor the enhancements precisely to the industry’s needs.

The Feature in Action: Easier, Faster, Clearer
Thanks to this collaborative approach, maintenance logging within Raw Stadia has significantly evolved. Dedicated event types like topdressing and line marking are now clearly selectable, streamlining daily operations. A new fertiliser database feature allows clubs to securely store frequently used details, eliminating repetitive data entry.
Additionally, the inclusion of contextual notes within calendar events has noticeably improved internal communication and coordination—bringing clarity to day-to-day operations.
Reflecting on the improvements, Declan mentioned:“These enhancements have truly improved our daily operations. It’s rewarding to see our ideas come to life and benefit not only our team, but many clubs globally.”
