In ‘meet the team’ you will get to know all Raw Stadia team members. Next-up: data-analyst Peter. Let's quick-fire some questions.
Tell us something about yourself?
I joined the Raw Stadia team last year as data analyst, and have a master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences. I have also worked as a science teacher and as a research assistant at Imec. I like working out and playing music.
What do you do at Raw Stadia?
At the moment, I'm mainly working on the development of the new analytics section of our platform (in beta), but I also make the monthly data reports, we send out to our customers. I use business intelligence software to analyse data, and come up with interactive visualisations or dashboards for our platform so our customers can explore and gain insights from their data.
I am currently embedding dashboards that can be used to aggregate data for our datasources and pitches across a chosen timeframe. To achieve this and to create our own user-interface I also write the necessary front-end code for the webapp in React.
Why Raw Stadia?
When I was teaching, working with people was rewarding in its own way. But after a time, I wanted more challenge from real applications of science and technology again. Raw Stadia gave me the opportunity I was looking for. I can increase the value of our product by adding new features, and I get the time here to continuously develop my skills.
What is your first impression at Raw Stadia?
We are a close-knit team that values getting things done and continuously improving. There also is a very supporting atmosphere, which allows us to grow and deliver good work.
What is the number one item on your bucket list?
I'd like to make my own solo prog-rock album one day.
Give us some good conversations starters. Something to talk about during coffee break.
I like to talk about hobbies and interests, whatever you choose to do in your free time. I'm a pretty quiet guy usually so I'll join the conversation after it's started :)
Are you a sports fan?
As a kid I played tennis, in Uni I enjoyed rock climbing until I suffered a bad rotator cuff injury. Since then I really enjoy weight training in the gym as a way to blow off steam and stay in shape. Whenever I don't do sports for a longer while I feel I'm missing out on something necessary to feel optimal. Recently I've been trying to get stronger by doing more of a powerlifting routine. My current goal is a 100kg bench press. I like learning about revalidation and technique and I hope to be able to keep doing this with longevity in mind.
Thanks, Peter. Glad to have you in our team!
